I just got this 10-22 and I probably will only run a patch with breakfree after I finish shooting, and the snake whenever I see evidence of lead in the barrel.

Taking the trigger mechanism apart for the uninitiated can be daunting. Primarily i use tooth brush, wipe clean, poke around with Q tip then one drop on trigger springs.
