WebNov 26, 2013 · I have finally found a new way to adjust the timing on my VW stock 1972 type 1 engine with compufire points. I have a Bocar 34 pict 3 and SVDA from Aircooled.net. From what I gathered from all suggestions off the web and various forums is that the preferred method for the best timing is static with the engine cold.
