WebFreesync premium is pretty much identical to HDMI VRR. On C9 VRR+HDR+120Hz works with CRU, so C9 only needs a couple lines of code changed in it's EDID for it to work without CRU. LG probably removed it purposefully at Nvidia's request.. Hopefully that deal has an end date and we get the functionality, but knowing LG I wouldn't hold my breath.
