Webb21 jan. 2024 · I'm trying to get an estimation of the temperature that a Kanthal (A1) wire would get, when applied an amount of electrical power. In the specifications sheet they provide a temperature table, from which I kind of understood that the temperature is not going to be a linear function, but a rough linear estimation would be just fine. http://www.kanthal.com/globalassets/kanthal-global/downloads/super-handbook_b_eng.pdf

Webb4 juni 2024 · Kanthal heating elements create an aluminum-oxide layer on their surface that protects the, from oxidation. Besides, they have a higher melting point than that of Nichrome, about 1500 O C. Kanthal is very strong but still flexible enough to be bent into various shapes. WebbKanthal® HT The maximum operating temperature is 1830ºC (3330ºF), and the element is suitable for furnace temperatures between 1500-1750ºC (2730-3180ºF) approximately. The special feature of Kanthal Super HT is that the growth of the oxide layer - the glaze - is much reduced, compared to Kanthal Super 1800 and 1900. Webb1 feb. 2003 · The factors that influence the life of a SiC heating element are generally the same as those that determine the life of metallic heating elements. Temperature and composition of the furnace atmosphere, watt loading, type of service (continuous or intermittent), and operation and maintenance techniques all come into play. nip tuck aesthetic
